just a little bit of spring in the heart becomes spring in the art, and even more pertinent ~ light in the heart. which is a good reminder for me as we prep for the imminent arrival of another polar freeze upon our montana winter landscape.
this little 5×7 watercolor card illustrates a favorite song, which inspired these tulip-like flowers. the scripture it also points to is accomplished via the uniball white signo pen.
“arise my love ~ the grave no longer has a hold on you”
as written from Isaiah 60:1-2 which encourages us:
“arise, shine, for your light has come, and the glory of the Lord rises upon you. see, darkness covers the earth and thick darkness is over the peoples, but the Lord rises upon you and his glory appears over you…”
may we always know deep in our hearts, that we who live in the light {and love} of Christ, do {get to} live a resurrected life ~ here and now:
{he gospel of john chapter 11:1-44: {specifically vs 25}: Jesus said to her “I am the resurrection, and the life. He who believes in me will live, even though he dies; who ever lives and believes in me will never die. do you believe this?”
do we?
come rain or shine…
winter or spring…
snow or cold.
soli deo gloria!

Beautiful!
Apparently our tulips have been given their marching orders to rise and shine. However, doing so the last week of February in this part of the mountains really puts faith to the test! One thing's for certain: They will be hardy tulips if they survive 🙂
I BELIEVE Rain or shine, and thank you for your quilting ministry Leslie. I do love it and your beautiful card, pretty tulips, I love purples and blues. I BELIEVE!
