The Art of Terri Stegmiller

Some of you may know of this gal’s art work;  Terri Stegmiller.  She is a very talented and gifted artist. I have been fortunate to get to know her a little bit through her blog!

Recently, she featured this cute little bag on her blog, and I happened to make a comment, asking her if the kitty needed a home in Montana!  To my delight, she agreed, and sold it to me!  When it arrived, I discovered a delightful treasure tucked inside:

With the adorable zippered pouch (which is lined and very well-made), an Artist Trading Card (also known as ATC’s) was tucked inside…   (To see more of  Terri’s art, visit her Etsy store here.)

The back side of the zippered pouch… hand painted, dyed, stamped… I love it!

Look at all the terrific texture!

She has hand painted, papery, collaged… hand stamped (and what all else I don’t really know). Just suffice it to say she knows her stuff.  It’s just quite …  BEAUTIFUL!

She is also part of a terrific team at THREE CREATIVE STUDIOS; another blog that is full of inspiration, free projects and LOTS of amazing techniques; they feature one every month from a guest artist… and I will be that guest artist for JUNE!  She is also part of an artist group who has published a book, as well as another blog of their own, (she is a busy lady!) called Twelve by Twelve.

If you’d like to see some of the fabulous art she produces, please see her blog… and like me,  follow it!  I love her painting style.  Well, I love her style, period. Her colors, and what I have to come know as her signature KITTY!

“Here kitty-kitty!”  She has several books… which are on my fabric artist book ‘wish list.’  One is on making art quilts with fabric paper.  I don’t have all the names of them handy, but I am sure if you go to her blog, visit her website, or google her name, you will find them!

She’s my “neighbor” out here in the WEST! And if I ever get to North Dakota, I hope to meet her in person.  Thanks Terri!  I appreciate your support, and I love your ART! Blessings to you!
