Hi y’all ~
that’s the Montana drawl in case you’re wondering. {*smiles*}
Today’s post is reflection of the many wonders and beauties of My Montana summer. When Labor Day rolls around, I kind of go into a grieving mode of sort when summer starts to fade. I just love those long sunlight days~I hate to see them go. While I lament summer leaving so quickly {and believe me, it has a tendency to do that here in Montana}, I do love the fall. And as I update this long-overdue post, we had our first snow falling yesterday! Whaaat? Yup. I know. It’s a bit of a conundrum. And since weather and seasons can not be stopped from leavin, nor from coming — {thank goodness} I do my best to just embrace it all ~ because ya know ~ it’s ALL good!
I’m so thrilled to be able to pursue more photographic sessions ~ I love taking pics of families! So much fun. And of course, I’ve been teaching in quilt stores across Montana and in Washington this summer and fall! And making samples. And did I say making more samples! LOL ~ it’s all good. What a wonder. I’ll be catching up on the blog, someday… and showing sweet projects that my students made!
I’m sharing some of the highlights of a beautiful season. While photos never really come close to the awesome majesty of our Creator God, it’s great for me to be reminded of His Glory in every picture, as I look back on the gorgeous God-ordained moments ~ for all to EnJoy.

A Flathead River Morning– our beautiful campsite on Labor Day.

A sweet little bit of dill in the garden! Love the color and texture, shape and well… I love dill! 🙂
Celebrating a wedding! I was the “chief” {tongue in cheek here!} photographer, and loved the way these images were presented that gorgeous late summer day as I approached the ranch to take pictures of the BBQ party! The heading is “East Meets West!” -~Taiwan girl marries Montana ranch boy!
Blue and Gold. One of my favorite color combos with that gorgeous Montana Big Sky, and the late golden sun on the prairies… Oh, and the pic below? I was “chief” napkin folder for the BBQ wedding party! Aren’t they fun? What a super cute idea for jean pockets!
The beauty of ornamental cabbage. I love it that it’s beautiful color just intensifies into the fall season as it loves the cooler weather and is surprisingly frost resistant, too!
and look at this. a groom blessed, considering the sweet inner beauty of his bride…
i had a small “thing” for grain bins this summer! I’m hoping to keep capturing this iconic image I love so much, and it will be a quilt I am hoping!!
and a favorite friend, and blessed sister. She made this quilt for her second grandson. It’s a sweet one for sure. And this image kind of sums up saying goodbye to summer. Great times at the lake, but you sure needed to keep wrapped up from the cooler breezes, no doubt about it!
Happy Season wherever you are ~ I wish you well. Thanks for taking a peek or two with me!
