Cheeky Charlie Bear ~ New Pattern!

Hello there!

Well, I’ve had a heck of a time deciding on a name for this guy. First, it was “Berry Merry Bear.” Hmm–no. Then, Chubby Cheeks Charlie. Now it’s “Cheeky Charlie” –I think it’ll stick with that — for now?!

I was a lot of fun to put him together utilizing the new Christmas fabrics that came out in July. This quilt is sized at about 22 x 24″ — a Fat Quarter of fabric is all it takes to make the center background piece.

I’ve incorporated some of my favorites in black and whites, and a new favorite, a DIGIPRINT from RJR Studios, titled: Pineview Festive Flora. Those digital prints are so spendy–but they are also bright, bold and beautiful! It was the right kind of greenery I wanted for this holiday festive setting. Many of the fabric names/designs are included in the pattern.  Get ’em while ya can!

Charlie has been made in white on a blue batik background fabric from Hoffman of California, and I’ve also made him on a white background {white cotton velvet} and plan to make it into a pillow for Christmas! Cuddly and Cute, for sure!

A miniature version is in the works, for a small children’s pillow or wall hanging.  Find the pattern {and limited kits, too!} in the shop store here!  That’s where the best prices are.  I have them listed on Etsy, so if that is where you’d like to shop, they are ready there too. My kits include extra yardage for the red border, so you may choose to run it lengthwise across the top and bottom borders as I did!!

I’ve worked hard to put in some illustrative photo instructions and all the images have been reversed so you don’t have to. I think he’d be really fun in summer/spring colors, too :).

Thanks for stopping by!
