take a look at this awesome little box i received as a christmas gift from my sweet annette … {boy was i excited when i saw what was inside}
stamping, texture rubbing with paintstiks… and who knows what else is in store for creative play with these. they would be fun stamped into paper clay for ornaments, and of course perhaps a paint/stamping, too?!
aren’t they pretty designs? i’ve always wanted to try these, and i’m excited to play with them!
and she included some good-smelling handmade soap from alaska ~ love the texture on the top of the bar, too.
and nettie also gave me a wash cloth; one of her knitted pieces… coolest design.
and from my favorite bernina store owner, miss deb from the bernina silver thimble whom i teach for, and who also knows how much i relish fibers and batiks! she gave me the most gorgeous rick rack {from fibergoddess.net} i’ve ever seen or touched; it’s so silky and luminous.
and she also gave me an amazing collection of the most perfect batiks! some really terrific coordinates in this stack, too!
i’d say some major stash-busting is in store for 2014…
can you say, “made out like a bandit?!” {i am}
thank you my friends!
