Not much time in the studio this weekend. Gardening, (got a nice big blister) and then a wonderful celebration on Father’s Day. An enjoyable couple days, and gone too fast! I got in what seemed like a few brief minutes, and started on this piece, begun and shown in this post:
I started with some silvery-white thread, polyester to highlight the petals, and then filled in with variegated threads of orange-pink, blue-purple-turquoise…
and a couple funny shots of Brian, who was trying to get his shoes on Sunday morning… but the dogs had other, more FUN ideas in mind…
And the two pups have claimed a little of “Poppa Real Estate” — that’s better ~ for now!
Have a great week!

You have such a wonderful design sense! The stitching does unify the piece but it also makes it so luscious! The dogs are so precious!
oh, I luv how you unified those quarters that make up the centre. They are wonky but beautifully united! Great overall look!
Hi Leslie, just stopping by to say how delightful your blog is. Thanks so much for sharing. I have recently found your blog and am now following you, and will visit often. Please stop by my blog and perhaps you would like to follow me also. Have a wonderful day. Hugs, Chris

I love seeing what you've been up to! And the sweet doggies! One day I'll be done potty training and can start thinking of puppies and house training.
