Grace Giveaway ~

MarveLes Art Studios Art and Collage Quilts, Blogs, Mixing It Up 19 Comments

hey all ~

we’ve had our first rainy day this summer, and so i’ve been busy sorting through the studio, finding projects, some of which i’ve finished that have been languishing in the studio.  and it’s a great time for cleaning up!  and now you might say it’s me that’s languishing!  oh boy.  i don’t know how it piles up, but it sure does.  and it feels good to go through things, toss, reorganize, and declutter!  the trash cans are empty, the carpet is vacummed, and dust wiped away.  time to celebrate!

i’m giving away this small wall hanging, screen printed from one of margaret applin’s thermofax designs.  tulips.  i know fall is coming upon us fast… {but think how cute it will be for next spring?!}

size is 11.5″ wide x 17″ long.

it’s base fabric is a batik, and i layered hand-dyed fabric made by me, leaving the raw edges exposed.  i then added glitzy, beautiful hand-dyed ribbon, and free motion quilted the words, using white king tut, and other accents in pink thread which is a tri-lobal rainbow thread, both from superior threads.

you know i love threads, and my most favorites are those made by the superior thread company  which has agreed to be  sponsor to my blog!!  and ~ we will be having a thread giveaway later this month!  so i hope you’ll keep an eye out for that as i show some of the things i’ve created, using their beautiful and high-quality threads!

if you’re interested in this quilted piece, just leave a comment, and a way for me to contact you! and if you follow my blog by email, or a reader, please let me know that, and i’ll enter your name in the giveaway, too!  I’ll draw a winner randomly… let’s say by next Saturday ~ September 14th!

thanks so much for being a reader, follower, and friend to this blog!

  3. This is SO pretty! I cannot believe how neat your stitch writing is! I need to get to work practicing! Your works are such inspiration to me. I love how you use different threads. I have not began experimenting with different fancy threads yet. I hope this give-away is still open! 🙂
