Hearts of Spring ~ New Pattern + Kits

Leslie McNeil Blogs 2 Comments

My newest pattern features a variety of projects ~ three of them, in fact! Sketchy heart accents with gold foil embellishment ~ such an easy technique!  And the pattern features illustrative photos, details with hints and tips on fusing and cutting, placement and quilting suggestions!

The Large Heart is a bigun’ ! It’s 39 by 41″ and features fun text words, as do the other projects–I adore the background, which is a gorgeous white with gray-green colored words, that says “I must have flowers!” Indeed I must! And–I have a “thing” for word fabrics–always have!  It was so much fun to incorporate them into these three projects!  The medium heart is 16″ square; great for fat quarters!  And the Heart Trio project is 16×47″ L.

I have also made kits for the big heart project {Heart A} and the Medium Heart, {Heart B} as well as a ‘barnwood’ inspired background for this heart, also available in a kit–check it out here!  You’ll probably have enough leftover to get a great start on the Heart Trio project as well!  There are lots of great florals that you will LOVE using to create your own special heart project!

Have you seen the latest videos I’ve published to the Marveles Art Studios Facebook page? Cutting flowers, steaming the collage, and my basic methodology of what I call “the rule of threes” when it comes to getting started collaging!  It’s all about contrast, scale and design that moves the eye across the collage. They are published to my YouTube channel as well, so I check them out there!

Here’s a link to the paper pattern–all the templates are full sized and easily traceable. Here’s to a spring heart–always and always!

Thank you for your support!
