Jean Jackets in Bloom ~ Embellished with Collage

Leslie McNeil Blogs, Mixing It Up 2 Comments

Hello Beautiful Jean Jackets!

Perfect for a Summer Evening out and about in any weather, but certainly a cool summer night here in our Montana Big Sky Country where there may be a light and cool breeze, or a super-cold one as well!  The Jean Jacket is always a good staple piece of clothing… don’t you agree?

So ~ As you might imagine–I have quite a few fused and cut flowers ready and waiting–at my disposal, you could say–right?  And it was time to put them into a project I have been thinking about for a long time.  I talk about it in my classes, but now I finally have them to show!  This is such an easy project–and a stunning one, too… at least, I think so.

This one is a “Stetson” brand jacket in a worn, faded and soft blue….perfect for a collage background!

So–what do you think of these two pieces?  Perhaps you’ve got some great ideas of your own! Here’s hoping  you’re inspired to try your hand with collage on a piece of clothing–denim is the perfect substrate for it!  Thanks for coming by!

Thank you Melody—that is very kind of you to say! I do hope you try this fun way to make a unique and beautiful piece of wearable ‘collage art’ on the jacket! Mine is still in great shape, and I always wash it inside out to help preserve the colors and the raw edges. Steam a Seam Lite 2 is the only way to go in my opinion!
