All summer long, I would peruse the fabric shops, keeping an eye out for the right fabric background for a Christmas version of Jerome the Knome! I found it—and I love the feel of the midnight blues with this gorgeous Hoffman fabric with scratchy-moody light blues and gilded silver accents.
It was also a great opportunity to employ some special Christmas floral fabrics, one of which became the Christmas tree. This tree is made from pre-fused “christmas-like” fabrics, and cut into curvy-slivers with a rotary cutter—EASY PEASY! I added my favorite silver fabric for the star on top!
The main tree trunk is now in white, a wood grain print from Moda; Deb Strain designed this, it’s called “Hearthside Holiday” I believe. I added a red plaid wool coat, and red pom pom for the hat, as well as a snowy foreground.
I have kits made up in the shop—including all the fabrics used here—and some pre-fused and pre-cut flowers too. Check it out in the kit section! And the paper pattern includes both spring and Christmas color photos for reference.
