MAKE IT MERRY!
I have high hopes for finishing a wall hanging similar to the pictured one below… only it won’t be like that one. I not real fond of the fabric color choices, or the checkerboard look.
And so this is where the progression on this piece stands. One piece of green fabric, with the letters stenciled in paintstiks, using red and black. A bit rough around the edges. Thinking maybe I’ll add a little trapunto effect to the letters, so they pop out and have a bit more punch…
Add some creative patchwork for the border. The background fabric is leftover from last year, so I will have to do some digging through my fabrics to see what I have that ‘talks to me.’ Thinking of some free motion quilting utilizing red thread in a cotton… silver GLITTER thread to ‘spark it up’ a bit… and perhaps some black cotton for the wordplay in the background.
It’s a start! Who knows where it will end up… let’s hope it’s in the FINISHED pile!
And God’s PEACE to you!

Stencilled? Brilliant! You're so smart. And so ahead of the seasonal rush! Good for you.
