this morning gives us fresh new meaning of “frozen!” lol we have 8 degrees above with a slight wind… it says it feels like -18. i have no doubt whatsoever that is much colder just a few miles north of us, and so… we wait it out!
in the meantime, i’m keeping things heated up in the studio, and created these christmas coaster from snowflakes, and hearts, cut from the accuquilt “go” cutter system. i’m using a 7″ circle, snowflakes and heart dies.
nothing too complicated, as i’m free motion stitching them all on, and then right sides together, sew a circle, cut the back open, and turn right side out. to cover up the cut on the back, i fused on a large heart.
done!
what makes these {more} fun, is that they are on a red ombre fabric!

easy project, and they would also be fun as pot holders, made with larger circles, and flame-retardant material, too. and of course, lovely gifts.
i’m making more, and in the meantime, i’ve got these little festive darlings listed in my etsy store, too!
warmly and snuggled in ~

These are fun and cute! I'm making coasters too, for Christmas presents.
