well, {amost} nothing beats getting out of town, and into the great outdoors. so last sunday, while it was a very chilly 43 degrees, and a 30 mph wind, we headed out. there was a recent snowfall, and it was definitely our signature montana big blue sky day to enJoy!
the background mountains {photo below} are the little belts, otherwise known as the “little belt mountains.”
“powdered sugar” {as i call it} on those spring mountains!
and i’m always trying to keep an eye peeled for old fenceposts…
leaving the little belts ~ headin’ north…
and then north to the highwood mountains on the southern edge of this range:
and how fascinating it is to see what ranchers and farmers use to close gates. i love this photo. we think it’s a combine chain that they’ve used for the enclosure, although it could be from any number of {ancient} machinery items! it’s very cool, and i was tickled to snap a shot of it. it’s one of my faves.
and signs. i love signs. so…m “here’s your sign!”
cows and calves will soon be out their own green pastures…
time to let those country roads take us home! thanks for coming along with the ‘early spring outting’ with us!
enJoy your day!
