planting goodness ~ hosea geranium watercolor

i have sure loved sketching… practicing… and making this ‘geranium-styled’ watercolor flower several times now.

gradually, with each one i do, i think of different ways to add special details.

my latest favorite pen for a bit of shine and sparkle, is the gelly roll sparkly pens.  {they have a metallic star on the pen label}.  the one i used in this piece is the silver.  i also love using the clear sparkle pen, too!

and… some sketchy writing, and words of truth!

i am also experimenting with ‘making the paint bleed’ … and while it’s a really interesting effect… not sure i like it… but i think it will definitely “grow” on me, too!!!

{just like His word, helps me grow out, grow up… and grow more… into… His goodness!

8 x 10″ print available in the etsy shop, right… here!

thanks for coming on in… have a wonderful spring day!!
and know there are lots of blessings coming your way!

  1. hi Leslie- I love these so much and since I work at my church, you give me so much inspiration when I create things for my friends there- LOVE your art! (if i havent told u enough!) lol

  2. Beautiful Hosea and scripture is perfect isn't it? I love it Leslie. This gave me an idea… since I can't find a Beth Moore Book for my Spring project, and not sure if I would tear out pages anyway, I will just get started using watercolor paper and go to town on it.
I love geraniums, and mu Aunt just gave me her bright fuchsia ones yesterday! They are delicious to my eyes and heart.

  3. let the blessings fall! Les, can you bless me with a visit and a comment as I ask a question? I know you are a busy gal but your expertise is sew appreciated!!! (hugs)

  4. I love Hosea!!! One of those "minor" prophets, scurrying around in the shadows of the Bible, so 'packed' with pearls of wisdom and admonition!!! Your sketch is gorgeous! Water colors are my fave! Hugs……………..
