hi there ~
well, i’m back from a wonderful week at the lake! we had such crazy-good, punch-drunk happy laughter, and goofy, crazy fun times together! i will definitely be sharing some of those beautiful moments, including some art, fabric shopping and projects on my plate! for now, it’s time to unpack, reorganize files, and start living a new routine!
this rock-strewn path from the cabin down to the lake always draws me in, and this year, i think i finally captured {or at least came closer} to the mystery and sweetness of the light as i was walking on it this early morning. magical. and as i was also journaling during my time at the lake, i came across this lovely quote from thomas kinked that suits and fits it perfectly…

Enjoy these days, Leslie! The best thing I did for myself was retire to spend my days how I want to spend them. Your creativity is going to amp up like it never has, and that is saying something considering how prolific you have been while holding down a full time job! Sweet retirement! You are going to love it!
