morning glories!
just a little watercolor sketch, this one is a 6×6″ piece of watercolor paper. the idea here was a soft pastel base, and then adding dimension, shading, and intensity through layering on a bit more color within a defined shape. i saw it demonstrated from danielle donaldson, through jeanne oliver’s website, and although i haven’t made it through all the lessons, i am loving this new perspective she is wonderfully teaching to us.
and of course, what better way to pose it than in the perfection of the apple blossoms:
