Hi everyone!
I know. It’s {very} E A R L Y ! {for Montana flowers, that is}. So what better time than mid-winter to dream of spring… or better yet, imagine it on paper?! It’s never too early to draw, color, and sketch springtime, right?
Which reminds me… I’ve got some really fun projects to show you, coming up as a preview to Terri Stegmiller’s Stencil Blog Hop, beginning next week! I’ll show a couple of things I’ve been playing with, on Friday or Saturday’s posts! {They are very ‘springy’ too!}
I began with adding gesso to some scrapbook paper. I really do like that ‘see-through’ background. I haven’t yet got around to trying clear gesso… but that would be fun with more subtle papers, too.
I used my Neocolor watercolor II crayons, and adding highlights with twinkling h20’s as well as a bit of silver metallic with a Gelly roll pen, and black Pitt pen, too.
Sunshiney colors… peaceful … which helps as the sun is shining bright today, and the wind blowing 70 mph {high wind warnings today}.

Thinking Spring!
And this week, I was honored that one of my Etsy artisan friends, Beth, this past week, published her interview of me, as her “Artist Spotlight” segment on her blog, at Bettina’s Treehouse.
I hope you’ll have a few minutes to read it, and check out her blog!
Soli Deo Gloria!
XO

Great interview. I, too, like lots of colour in the winter. Lovely detail. I need to try clear gesso.
I so enjoyed that interview Leslie! Thanks for sharing so much of yourself with us :*) I too am thinking Spring…. I am glad that January is half over and that today is one day closer to Spring!!!! Definitely not a winter girl, no sirree!!!! Your lovely flowers certainly brightened up a dull winter day for me :*D
Wow Les, that was a great interview. I leaned many new things about you (like your profession) We have been enjoying 80 degree weather for over a week, but there is a cold front moving in, so we will start to bundle up tonight 😉
What beautiful flowers! Just what we need to remind us that spring will come! It's bitterly cold here in England today with snow forecast for the next few days!
I'm already wishing spring was here…and these beautiful flowers are now making me want it more.
