Sunny Side Up! ~ New Pattern

Oh sweet heaven ~ this has been a fun design to play with!  Light and Airy–Fresh ~ Easy-Breezey–just like these beautiful Montana summery days!

The Sunny Side Up Pattern is an “AccuQuilt Friendly’ project with THREE different designs; the first is a large wallhanging or table topper at 30 x 39.”  The second is a square topper or wall hanging at 22″ square.  And the third is a sweet mini–{who doesn’t love those, I ask?!} and it is 10 x 21.”

I cut the squares from the 6.5″ AccuQuilt Go! die, lickity split!  I have also learned that it’s wise to stabilize fabrics for cutting with a mixture of 1 part Terial Magic with 3 parts Best Press Starch–wowzers!  Makes. big. difference, helping the fabric cut cleaner and no stretching as it goes under the wheels of the machine for cutting.  The pattern includes this tip and many more, with photo tutorials for piecing, fusing and more ~ as well as quilting design ideas/drawings and templates of the dies used.  I used AccuQuilt’s “Flower Fun” and “Flower Bunch” dies for the flower shapes, circle centers, and mixed and matched petals in the sweet Mini Quilt.

Pre-fuse some sweet batiks in your favorite colors, and add contrast with black and white fabrics {or not!} and HAVE ALOT OF FUN.  A super project to do with kids too–who doesn’t like to peel and stick with stickers–only these are fabric stickers!

I’ve made up kits for all three projects too–limited quantities, and I hope you will take a look at them… they are a truly great value and I do endeavor to make them reasonably priced. Large Kit:

It’s always Flat rate shipping at MarveLes Art Studios, and all payments are processed via PayPal secure website.  It’s only $5 and $6 for these kits, no matter what else you pick!

And in case you need a variety of fat quarters in white, low volume prints–I’ve got some made up in the shop!  Here’s a selection of five Fat Quarters that I’ve used in my new pattern, and they are listed in the kit section of the shop:
