winners! we’ve got winners! well, it’s about time, huh!!! long wait, i know. i so appreciate all the comments, and your coming alongside in seeing my projects made with vicki welsh’s hand-dyed fabrics! she’s such a talent! don’t you agree? and… guess what i found in my stash? a yard of some fabric i had ordered from vicki, well over a year ago, i believe… yippee skippee!! i cannot wait to play with this exciting colorway. although i didn’t see this exact combo in her shop, no doubt she could recreate it if you asked… hmmm?!
and another fabric that is on my ‘add to stash list’ {yes, it’s kind of hard not to have one when you visit vicki’s etsy store. this one is cotton candy; isn’t it gorgeous? pink and wine… reminds me of the song strawberry wine and summer days… bring ~ it ~ on! {summer…not so much on the wine ~ lol~}
and recently i took advantage of vicki’s june sale, and ordered this packet of beauties, from “thrive.” i love that name, too.
and to finish up; here’s the last couple projects i’ve put together, although unquilted. these were made using vicki’s gradient, ‘sundance’:
you may have read about my stamping fun, in this post... and i have been happily sewing those pieces together:
and you may remember the key west gradient, from which came tropical hibiscus: {one of my all-time favorite art quilts!}
and i began with her geranium gradient, creating the fun flower pot quilt:
today i’m showing a last bit of curvy patchwork ~ {my kind of checkerboard style} below. this piece is called “summer dance.”
on this one, i decided to add a fun fringy yarn in the binding, using my bernina #43 foot {of course}. what do you think?
i hope someone thinks “i like it” ~ {i’m giving it away today}
did you remember i also said i would be giving something away from me, too? {i hope so}
have a happy happy summer!

What fun for the ladies to have won! Good for them!!! Just to have a little part of Leslie is great! Love seeing pics and especially the closeups of your work!!!
LOVE the cute fringe and they are all gorgeous 🙂
Congrats to both winners!
Congratulations to the winners! Leslie, I love your sundance piece with the swirly hearts. Is that a stencil or a thermofax screen print? It looks like possibly you used paint sticks. It's lovely.
Thanks very much!! 😀 Have a great day!
Oh yay! Not only do I like it, I LOVE it! Thank you so much, Leslie.
(You must have known the finished piece would be so much more practical for me right now!)
