The Lucky Ducks ~ a new pattern

Hi folks!

You’d think there’d be lots of time to get on here and write a blog post— in our loooonnnggg Montana Winter this year!  We’ve had over 75″ of snow!  Been a long time since *that* happened in this neck of the woods!  LOL. But alas… no!  I’ve been busy… doing what, I’m not always sure, but I have been making lots of stuff.  It just hasn’t made it over to the blog yet!

In the meantime, I have been designing new patterns.  Here is “Lucky Ducks” ~  my latest — I’ll show the others … someday soon?!!  The fun part of designing this quilt was in embellishments, and I loved every one of them.  Free motion couching {Bernina foot #43 makes this a breeze!} — gold and silver leaf — and painting the quilted feathers with fabric paint!  Yes–you read that right, gold and silver leaf–the kind that’s meant for hard and impermeable surfaces like wood, paper… but it’s pretty magical on fabric if you ask me!  I say go for it!!!  It’s amazingly simple to create a stunning accent–truly!

This pattern features color photos, shown here, too, for explanation, and of course, there are full size drawings, the duck shapes have been reversed for you, too.  I hope you love it, and I can guarantee you will have fun making these guys shine with personality!

Anyway, pattern is available as a PDF download in the pattern section of my shop, and in paper format too.  If you prefer, or for convenience sake–you can find them in my Etsy shop as well.

Thank you for stoping by!

 EnJOY!
