Hope your weekend was great. Our was! And f a s t ~ as usual! We headed south to the home of MSU ~ the Lady Bobcats, in Bozeman, MT. The skies were soooo amazing! I had a great time taking pictures – mostly with the iphone, almost the entire way, and posting them to either facebook or instagram ~ so fun! So I hope you will enjoy a few glimpses of some of our Montana landscapes; this is the first, about 15 miles from where we live, from I-15, looking at Square Butte.
Soon we are in “the canyon” where the Missouri River winds it way through the Belt Mountains.
Our Bobcat Girls lost… so sad, but it was a great game. It was also Senior Night, and we enjoyed the celebration afterwards. Coming home this morning, it was quite the dramatic storm front moving in from the numerous mountain ranges surrounding us, with high winds and blowing sleet/rain/snow … you can tell spring is ‘on the cusp’ ~ where that might be… we are not sure! The view below is one of what is called “Sleeping Giant” mountain. Can you see that he is laying on his back, looking up into the sky?
And I thank you so very much for hanging in there with me, and reading about my play action with Margaret Applin’s beautiful new stencils from Joggles! Can’t wait to try my hand with more experimentation on fabric, paper and gelli prints, and all that good stuff, but I have lots to catch up with for awhile before I can get back into my studio.
I will do my best to contact each of you who won; if I don’t hear from you in a week, I’ll pull another winner.
Thanks so much! I hope you’ll go see Margaret’s blog… she just has some fabulous designs she’s showing today, and a great new DVD will be coming out soon, showing how you can create your own stencils and more, using Photoshop Elements. I believe it will be published by Quilting Arts, but I don’t know the date…
